The Barcelona BGA 12-String Guitar is an all-in-one package meant to cover all the needs fo the beginning player, or an experienced guitar player looking to get their feet wet with a 12-string guitar. The tuning is similar to an acoustic, with an octave string added to each of the standard six. This reults in a full, rich, beautiful tone that can really fill out standard chord playing. Once you've mastered that, the extra strings can add a unique flavor to leads, pioneered by players such as Leadbelly and carried on by more modern players like Leo Kottke.
The Barcelona BGA 12-String is constructed with a smooth rosewood fretboard and the same quality spruce construction found in acoustic guitars of much higher value. The back and sides are constructed out of a thick mahogany that is damage resistant. Additionally, all mechanical aspects of the instrument are fitted with durable chrome hardware to keep the intonation of your instrument set right where you need it. A sleek, dark black finish covers the instrument.
